Coffee crash: why coffee makes you tired and how to avoid the caffeine crash

The short answer: A coffee crash is the slump you feel a few hours after caffeine, when the adenosine it was blocking comes rushing back — often made worse by sugary drinks, oversized doses and building tolerance.
